Randomness

I'm not going to lie, but I fucking hate Jelly Babies. What the fuck is with them? All cosy in their little packets awaiting their inevitable fate. Sort it FUCKING OUT MAN. Break out, because there is a life for Jelly Babies out there, and i'm sure there must be some form of employment agency that will satisfy them with a fundamentally important job to propel themselves on their quest to be "self actualised".

Plus who wants to be eaten? I mean come on.

Also I like to scuba dive in the shower, I find it very therapeutic and invigorating for the soul and; it brings me great satisfaction.

This post was the joint efforts of Stargirl and her neighbour.
Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

The Nation's Fragile Minutes

I love articles like that. But let us think. What if something terrible did happen? Thing is, it didn't. And nobody could have cared less. Chantelle and Preston squeezed out a little more media coverage over their pathetic "marriage", MacDonalds is bringing "healthy" food to the chav masses and some dude got attacked by a bird. Wonderful.

But still. We were LEADERLESS. For an HOUR. An hour's a long time. Just look at what world events have happened in one hour:

JFK was shot and died upon arrival at the hospital - 30 minutes

The Guiding Hand Social Club managed to assassinate the CEO of Ubiqua Seraph and steal everything the company owned in EVE Online - 1 hour

Okay, so that's not quite believable. But it still shows that something REALLY terrible could have happened.

And people cared more about MacDonalds.

Aaaaaaaaaah

Finally, I find the time to sit down and make a post. FINALLY. I am sorry to the people who check/come across this blog for the month of inactivity, but stuff's been getting on top of me. Thankfully, however, this is the last (proper) week of school for this year.

Stargirl finished school FOR GOOD last week, but will only be able to post after this Wednesday when she gets back from Italy. Also, I will be posting (hopefully) daily next week and the week after, because it is during my Work Experience and I thought "what better way to chronicle it than to bloggorz it?". So watch out for my antics as a Studio Assistant for two weeks!

Anyway, that's not 'till next week. Time for the actual post.

I have fallen in love with Mastodon. They truly are an incredible band, who produced (bar none) the best metal album of last year. I recommend to anybody who likes music, and EVERYONE who likes metal, to go and get Blood Mountain RIGHT NOW. It is REAAALLY good. You may think I'm speaking in massive hyperbole (which, admittedly, I am prone to doing) but the many positive reviews back this up.

Also, Deathmøle now have their own download page. So anybody who's been curious about these fictional cartoon rockers should check it out for a good dose of Garageband-recorded post-rocky metal. However, I suggest you also check out Jeph Jacques QC Livejournal for his other music, which is also really good.

In other news, Fallout 3 was finally, properly, truly madly deeply confirmed. With a HD demonstration of the sexy new engine.

If you are a geek of any salt, you know what that means. It means we are all going to lose month upon months of our lives once it comes out.

If you are only a little geeky (or are too young to remember the 11 year old Fallout), think of Oblivion.

Then look what happens when someone is given the choice between taking one or the other.

I'm not even kidding. There's a whole cult of Fallout. It consumes people.

And I will be in tears if they don't port it to the Mac.

So, that's all for now. I went to the Summer Concert last night at my school, and took HUNDREDS of pictures. It was an excellent night. I'll be posting them up here and on my deviantART in the next few days.

Shameless Firefly Plug

Well, I thought I'd put some filler here. Might as well enrich your lives.

Firefly was a short lived show made by Joss Whedon, who created Buffy and Angel. Although it only lasted one season before being (unfairly) axed, the fanbase was devoted enough to get Universal to put up the cash for a film continuing the story - the epic Serenity.

I love this TV show. I am slowly attempting to convert as many people as I can into becoming fans, because it deserves it. It shows how much good stuff gets stopped before it can flourish in the name of ratings. I suggest everybody stick it to FOX and buy the boxed set. Let them know how badly they dropped the ball on this one.

STICK IT TO THE MAN, MAN!
