Desert RAWK

For the lack of updates these past few weeks. I'm getting caught up in coursework deadlines, and when that combines with losing all sense of time (the days are literally just blending into one huge blur) you start to run out of time for stuff you actually wanna do (such as this blog and Fallout 2). So a relatively short post for today.

I've been going on a huge Queens Of The Stone Age trip for the past few days. I decided (after reading this article) to get my paws on Era Vulgaris, and I discovered the amazing power of QOTSA.

One great thing about the arts is that they're very mixable. Lots of art was inspired by music, lots of music was inspired by literature, lots of literature was inspired by art. And I found, while listening to Era Vulgaris (the song) on YouTube, that the music was powerful enough to get me completely juiced for some artistry. And something preeety freaky came out as a result:


If this were in colour, it'd look like the desert threw up on it after being on acid. It was strange, coming up with ideas from the music; trying to translate the texture and rhythm of it into line. I'll need to try and do it again some time - anybody want to give me ideas?
