Greetings, All.

Hello there.

Sraen, as he is known to the online community, has kindly offered to co-author his blog with me, although I won't be submitting posts as regularly as him ( he fancies himself as a bit of a techy and, incidently, has a fetish for Apple products =]).

Haven't much to talk about today; although I recently won a bid for a new Ipod on Ebay, so i'm a happy chappy at the moment. (My one sadly departing the living world a few months ago. Funeral's in May).

A few recommendations:
  • I've recently discovered; and subsequently fallen in love with; a band called Shiny Toy Guns, you've probably heard of them, if you haven't, go check them out because they're awesome: http://www.myspace.com/shinytoyguns. They're kind of rock/electro, think heavier Keane. It's really good, uplifting stuff. It's different.

  • Recently read 'Dave Gorman's Googlewhack Adventure'. For those of you with no idea who Dave Gorman is, he's a famous english comedian/writer/storyteller. He's also written a similar non-fiction book, 'Are You Dave Gorman?'. He's an eccentric sort of guy, and his first book details his adventure of finding 54 people who share his name around the world. All because of a drunken bet with a friend that he couldn't find a Dave Gorman for every card in a pack of cards (including jokers).

  • Dave Gorman's Googlewhack Adventure is about Dave's discovery of 'googlewhacking', or, a random selection of proper words that when entered into google, only comes up with one result. Naturally, his friends know his reputation for travelling the world to win a bet, so they bet he can't find a chain of ten 'googlewhacks' (he emails the email address on the site which is the 'googlewhack') who will each give him two other googlewhacks (random words). So off he trots around the world again, meeting all these random people he found purely because their site was the only one to include the words 'Rarebit Nutters' (example googlewhack).

  • I had at go at said googlewhacking myself, and it's harder than you think. I got 789,000 results for pygmy porcupine helicopter. Darn. Have a go anyway, if you're bored. You may even find a googlewhack yourself! If you do, add it to the Whack Stack: http://www.googlewhack.com/tally.pl.

That's about all I have to say now. I talk too much as it is.

Happy Googlewhacking =]
